Today we look at a clone wars episode where Anakin has to make s choice about his life and what he wants to do with it. After seeing his future, he joins the dark side to stop himself from committing horrible crimes against humanity. He shows deep sadness, pain, guilt, shame, fear, and disappointment in himself and thinks joining the dark side now and teaming up with the other charter will prevent all the pain from happening to the people he loves. Many of us know what those emotions feel like when we look at our past choices and mistakes. It's hard to reflect on who we are or what we did. Sometimes the guilt and shame make us feel so bad we continue those behaviors and can not get out of the cycle. I wanted to show this scene to let others know that we all make mistakes; we do not have to cause ourselves to suffer daily. We grow each day and can do better each day, do your best to be kind to yourself and move into a place of acceptance but accountability. For those of us with trouble putting emotions into words, I hope this help when you feel indecisive or worried about things that took place in the past.
